Paphiopedilum philippinense

Paphiopedilum philippinense

Some recent bloomers in my orchid collection

July 12, 2025

I’ve got a few orchid portraits to share with the interested. A lot of these plants only bloom once a year, more infrequently than that for me in the case of the Paph. philippinense. Quite a few are long-lasting, particularly the paphs which is yet another reason this genus is among my favorites. If I could only grow one paph hybrid it’d probably be the Lynleigh Koopowitz I’ve included in this post; it blooms every summer with a rose and raspberry-scented flower to my nose. Clicking on the IDs of each orchid below my photos will take you to a website to learn more about them if you’d like to.
